Join the Lancaster Bent Riders Club to explore Valley Forge National Historical Park! This ride is open to anyone interested in riding with a fun loving group of cyclists. You can ride slow or fast, on two wheels or three (even four!), on recumbents or traditional upright cycles.

Meet at Varnum’s Picnic area inside Valley Forge National Historical Park to unload and gear up at 10:45am; we’ll leave for the trails at 11am. There are several trails available at the park consisting of different lengths and conditions – check them out here. Explore and ride until 2:00pm when we’ll meet back at Varnum’s Picnic area for a family style picnic. Protein, typically in the form of hotdogs or burgers on the grill, and paper goods will be provided by Lancaster Recumbent. Please RSVP to let us know you are coming and to sign-up to bring a covered dish, side, or drink.

Directions to Varum’s Picnic Area from Visitor’s Center:
– Exit the park at the intersection of Route 23 and Gulph Road. Make a left at the light onto Route 23 West/ Valley Forge Road.
– Follow Route 23/ Valley Forge Road for approximately 1.6 miles.
– Make a right into the picnic area parking lot.
